Sara Stephens

Sara Stephens is the Deputy Director of the Southwestern Oregon Workforce Investment Board and oversees the South Coast Regional Early Learning Hub.
Sara worked at Oregon Coast Community Action as the Development Director for four years. Before working at ORCCA, she was the Executive Director for a conservation focus non-profit in Montana, the Jack Creek Preserve. Sara also worked for ten years in Portland as a Senior Program Director for school age and middle school programs at Camp Fire Columbia.
Charlotte Carver

Charlotte has been a part of the SCREL Hub team since 2018. Charlottes work focuses key Hub operations and data collection and assessments, giving us the power to make even more data-informed decisions. Charlotte also manages our Community Investments while providing support to our partners.
Her educational background is in International Studies, and she has previously worked in philanthropy and youth development. She is involved in various volunteer committees on the south coast including the Coos County Local Alcohol and Drug Planning Committee, South Coast ESD Budget Committee, and South Coast Equity Coalition’s Community Connections.
Charlotte is grateful to be a part of such an amazing team and to be part of the meaningful work happening here on the beautiful South Coast of Oregon.
Corinne Potts
Home Visiting Systems Coordinator

Corrine has been working in the field of early child education in one capacity or another for most of her professional career. In that time, she has been a teacher in infant/toddler and preschool programs, a home visitor, a parenting education, an early childhood center director, and a curricula developer & trainer.
The gift of participation in a home visiting program, regardless of program model is something that she has seen make remarkable change for good in the lives of children and families.
Corinne is excited to see the direction our region is moving towards in strengthening our collaboration efforts for the betterment of our communities and systems.
Jessica Porter
Community Engagement Manager

Jessica oversees SCREL’s community engagement work including coordinated enrollment, community program navigation, parent education, as well as SCREL’s Parent Advisory Committee.
Jessica comes from a program development and contract management background. She previously worked with Oregon Coast Community Action for six years in multiple capacities, including intensive home visiting, as well as program design, implementation, and supervision.
With a bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology and a master’s in Human Development and Family Science, Jessica has a passion for assisting children and families in our community. She is grateful and excited to be part of the amazing SCREL team.
Skaidra Scholey
Strategic Initiatives Coordinator

Skaidra focuses on implementing the Prenatal through Third Grade Alignment project in our communities.
Skaidra initially working at the SCREL Hub as the Regional Coordinator for Home Visiting. Previously, she was the Program Development Director and Recruiting Manager for North Bend Medical Center. She holds an MBA in Sustainable Systems and a BA in Asian Studies from University of Hawaii at Manoa.
She is an advocate for positive change on the South Coast, bringing together non-traditional partners, and applying her organizational leadership development work experience in early learning.

Vanessa Broadley
Community Navigator

Vanessa Broadley has worked with children and families for over 12 years through agencies like the YMCA where she oversaw the youth aquatic programs and professional development. Then onto roles as a Family Engagement Specialist and Parent Educator, when she previously worked with South Coast Head Start/ORCCA. In her current role as a Community Navigator with the South Coast Reginal Early Learning hub, she aides families in the Coos, Curry and Coastal Douglas area with connecting and accessing a variety of local and state resources, in addition to overseeing month Parent Cafes based from Be Strong Families model.
With a bachelor’s in Human Behavioral Science, Vanessa’s goal as a member of the SCREL team is to provide empathetic support and acknowledge the stresses and anxieties of parenting in order to advocate and empower caregivers to feel confident in their abilities to uplift themselves and their families.
