The Group Connections Project

Parents & caregivers of young children of the South Coast Region are invited to participate in our Group Connections Gatherings!

These gatherings offer opportunities to learn, grow, have fun and connect as a family, and with other members of our community.

We offer gatherings monthly and rotate between in-person opportunities in Coos & Curry Counties as well as provide sessions on zoom.

Upcoming Group Connections Events

The Group Connections Project is a cooperative service between Coos Health & Wellness, Family Support & Connections, Healthy Families Oregon: South Coast, Coastal Families Relief Nursery, Pathways to Positive Parenting, South Coast Head Start & the South Coast Regional Early Learning Hub.

Pathways to Positive Parenting

Pathways to Positive Parenting serves families of Coos & Curry Counties. This project guides parents as they lead their children to social/emotional growth, development and academic readiness.

Pathways offers free parenting education classes, workshops and family events in Coos and Curry counties. Through partnering with schools, early education and other community programs to offer a variety of locations and curricula that meet the needs of families in our area, they utilize many different parenting courses focusing on infancy, the teenage years and everything in between.

Take Root Parenting Connection

Take Root offers FREE and virtual parent education classes for families living in the Coastal Douglas Communities, including workshops and resources to help parents learn ways to provide effective discipline and guidance, nurture and foster life skills, promote healthy development, and, most of all, enjoy the enormous task of raising their children from infants to teenagers.
